"President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, speaking at the summit of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA), proposed initiating joint scientific, research, and applied work on ecological and climate issues, as well as transboundary water resource management," reported
Tengrinews.kz correspondent.
According to Tokayev, these issues affect all SPECA countries, and achieving success alone is impossible. A vivid confirmation of this is the tragedy of the Aral Sea, the consequences of which are felt not only in the countries of the region but also far beyond its borders.
